Week: 4.2 units profit (31.3% PoT)
Overall: 699.4 units profit (10.3% PoT)
Four units profit this week, driven predominantly by nice wins to Ashtrain at $13 and Gold Sun at $11. We keep trucking along in a consistent manner up over 122 units since June at nearly 30% POT.
NSW Tips & Ratings
Week: 0.6 units profit (5.6% PoT)
Overall: 125.3 units profit (18.2% PoT)
Back into (marginal) profit territory this week for Mark, as we found a couple of good winners in Campari (Randwick, Tuesday) and All Too Free (Hawkesbury, Thursday). The slight slowdown hasn’t dented what has been an enormous year of profits.
John's Analytics
Week: -7.0 units profit (-61.6% PoT)
Overall: 257.2 units profit (15.9% PoT)
John has had a couple of big weeks, and unfortunately we gave a little bit of it back this week. We managed to recover the week a little on Sunday, finding two winners in Beechal (Warren) and Du To Pass (Ararat).
BlackBook Bets
Week: 0.1 units profit (0.5% PoT)
Overall: 265.0 units profit (6.8% PoT)
We gave our money a big workout this week, backing 23 horses… and it returned in much the same shape it went out! A breakeven result across a busy Cup week – we found winners in Cochada on Oaks Day, and Blackwood River on Saturday.
Dean’s Tips
Week: 6.6 units profit (-18.1% PoT)
Overall: 642.6 units profit (7.9% PoT)
Solid week up over 6 units, putting us up over 27 units since resuming in Sep.
On Melbourne Cup Day the staying races were our forte, we backed the Mebourne Cup winner Cross Counter at $12, plus the other 2 mile winners on the day The Dominator at Echuca $6 and Doc Holliday at Hobart $5. Shraaoh also won the 2800m race at Flemington at $6.50. Seductive Miss was the big result that just missed, looking home for all money down the straight but nabbed on the line at $23. Thermal Current was a nice winner at $41 on Thursday ($70 BFSP), whilst Miner's Miss ran 3rd for us in the Oaks at 200/1. The tote place price was only $5.60 but it paid $22.90 BFSP and was as much as $31 closing place price with the bookies. As mentioned through the week and in the Members Info Pack if you shop with Betfair you will regularly greatly exceed official results with horses at double figure odds.
Saturday was excellent with 3 winners from 4 betting races, including Santa Ana Lane our Futures Bet for the VRC Sprint Classic at $10 (hopefully plenty of you got the $12), plus Ringerdingding $4.40 and Kenedna $10.
Golf
Week: -2.6 units profit (-100.0% PoT)
