Race 1: Irish Race Day – 1st September at Morphettville Hurdle 3200m

Hurdle race to kick off the day, no interest here.

Race 2: M&J Chickens Handicap 1250m

Unfair Dismissal is racing well this prep, raced on the speed here last start and was too good, can lead here and should give them something to catch. Poised to Strike ran 2nd to Unfair Dismissal on debut, was caught wide throughout with no cover and still kept coming strongly in the straight, nice debut run, with natural improvement, he looks hard to beat here. Burn Off is not the worst at odds.

Race 3: Medallion Homes 3YO Maiden Plate 1000m

Factual was good on debut, led at a strong speed, gave a good kick in the straight before being grabbed late, should take improvement from the debut run and looks to get on pace favours here. Bohemian Forest has been solid in both career runs to date, not sure what they do from the barrier here, but she should be amongst the finish once again. Blazing Bullet did enough when resuming, gets the blinkers back on here, should settle on the speed and looks a big chance.

Race 4: See the Magic of Matt Tarrant at Morphettville Handicap 1250m

Exalted Adam has been up for a long time now but continues to race well, was very unlucky last start, he continues to jump awkwardly so should settle towards the rear here but will be hitting the line well late. Stragun continues to race well without winning, maps well here and should be amongst the finish. Magnus Knight cam improve.

Tricky race, staying out.

Race 5: Dominant Handicap 1000m

White Kaps has been racing OK this prep, finds a winnable race here, can burn across to lead here for the in form jockey and give them something to catch. Streetcar Illusion is going well but needs plenty of luck to win a race with his racing pattern, will be hitting the line here strongly as usual. Invincible Al can be an improver here 2nd up.

White Kaps on top but no betting interest, staying out.

Race 6: Gusto’s 40th Birthday Handicap 1250m

Embecee Lil is a nice type who did enough when resuming, finds a winnable race here but don’t like barrier one with the apprentice on board. Strykinglee is racing well without winning, willing to risk here. Federosa and Autumn Street both resume here and they both go well fresh, look the two on pacers here and if they can get some control, can both give a great sight.

Race 7: UBET Handicap 1550m

Victory Downs wasn’t doing much this prep but went to Swan Hill and got a win, can take confidence from that win, and go on with it here for the astute stable. Morvada dropped back to provincial grade last start and got the job done, finds a race here with little depth and can go on with it. Royal Rumble is going well enough to win a race of this nature, maps well.

Little depth here, no betting interest.

Race 8: Schweppes Handicap 1400m

Via Balciano has been plain this prep, finds a race here with little depth and he gets his chance to win but can’t get involved at the price on offer. Laure Me In was good when winning on debut, must step up here but does look to have some upside. Lord Smedley is going well enough, had every chance last start but must be respected here. Cool Fonzy is not the worst at odds.
